Hello If there is any interest in making a jr. HBOC society let me know...oh and we don't have to be Jr. HBOC we can be anything....pink posse, pink pals, or what ever coll idea you may have. I heard countless women and girls comment that the HBOC is for older women and they don't understand. I'm thinking like doing cocktail parties, nights out on the town, hang out type meetings, and informal or formal structure.
I want all the ladies under 30 and their significant others or brothers to come and get info that is releveant and share your dreams and fears with people who understand and are living what you are living.
Connections are connections....hope to meet you all soon.

Hi Allegra! I was amazed with your positive speech at the HBOC annual conference a couple of weeks ago. I was so impressed with all the younger girls sharing the thoughts, emotions, and decision making, in regards to life saving choices that you will be making. You and the other girls are wonderful role models.
ReplyDeleteI very much want the younger girls to be making a bigger voice with HBOC. thus far it must seem that the HBOC society as it has existed is for an older generation, but we are the first generation that has had the science and technology to empower us with our choices. Every choice that I have made since I found out that I was positive, which was 4 years after my breast cancer, has been for my girls. So far, my surgeries keep me alive to see them grow to adulthood. Now, I want the connection with HBOC Society to help them with their choices and decisions for testing and life saving surgeries.
Keep blogging girl....you have lots of important and relevant things to say!
