So i was talking with some medical people and the mentioned that there is a breast milk bank in Calgary, and I though great now I wont feel so guilty if i choose to do the mastectomy with reconstruction. I will be able to give my children the benifits of humna milk...well that was until i called them.
rightfully so the priority is for sick baby's that are premature and otherwise ill. but in order for me to purchase the milk it would cost about $100 a day so aprox $3,000'month....HOLY you know what. So either we have to band togther and petietion, or there will have to be a rebirth of wet nurses. so the search continues...in case your curiouse here is their website and "about us" section.

Calgary Mothers’ Milk Bank is a community based, not-for-profit organization that provides screened and pasteurized donor human milk to babies in need when mother’s own milk is not available.
Calgary Mothers’ Milk Bank charges a milk-processing fee to cover operating costs. We also gratefully accept financial donations from individuals and corporations as well as applying for grants. We are able to keep our costs down by using volunteers in various positions.
We are pleased to begin offering free classes on Breastfeeding Basics. Click here for information.
